Sophya Terms of Service

1. Your Acceptance

  1. By using or visiting the Sophya website or any Sage Learning Inc. products, software, data feeds, and services provided to you on, from, or through the Sophya website (collectively the "Service") you signify your agreement to (1) these terms and conditions (the "Terms of Service"), (2) Sage Learning’s privacy policy, found at https://sophya.ai/privacy.html and incorporated herein by reference.
  2. Although we may attempt to notify you when major changes are made to these Terms of Service, you should periodically review the most up-to-date version at https://sophya.ai/termsofservice.html. Sage Learning may, in its sole discretion, modify or revise these Terms of Service and policies at any time, and you agree to be bound by such modifications or revisions. Nothing in these Terms of Service shall be deemed to confer any third-party rights or benefits.

2. Service

  1. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Service, including users who are also contributors of Content on the Service. “Content” includes the text, software, scripts, graphics, photos, sounds, music, videos, audiovisual combinations, interactive features and other materials you may view on, access through, or contribute to the Service. The Service includes all aspects of Sage Learning.
  2. The Service contains links to and embedded content from third party websites that are not owned or controlled by Sage Learning. Sage Learning has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites. In addition, Sage Learning will not and cannot censor or edit the content of any third-party site. By using the Service, you expressly relieve Sage Learning from any and all liability arising from your use of any third-party website.

3. General Use of Service

  1. You agree not to use the Service for any of the following commercial uses:
    • the sale of access to the Service;
    • the monetization or distribution for monetization of any content found, used or produced on a Sage Learning product that is not exclusively your own or that you do not have explicit permission to do so; or
  2. If you use the PDF generator or any video annotation tool, or any tool that involves content that you do not own exclusive copyright to, you may only use these tools and their outputs for educational uses that fall within the educational Fair Use Policy in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you expressly relieve Sage Learning from any and all liability arising from your use of any Sage Learning tool in a way that violates copyright and/or fair use policies and laws.
  3. In your use of the Service, you will comply with all applicable laws.
  4. Sage Learning reserves the right to discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

4. Miscellaneous

  1. The 'Loading Cat' animation is a creation of the artist Datsick35 on www.deviantart.com, being used in a non-commercial manner under the Creative Commons Noncommercial Share Alike 3.0 license, defined here. We removed the background color from the original copy.
